SEDA's Speech Workshop and Tournament Event provides workshops on improv, public speaking and practice. The Tournament includes four events: a persuasive speech on a topic of the competitor's choice, an impromptu speech, an interpretive reading, and a round of debate. Please see the invitation for complete details and speaking times.
These events are the qualifiers for Speech Nationals for the Senior debaters.
There is a new Juniors Speech Nationals in Alberta from April 20-23. This is not a qualifier for that event, however, SEDA will be accepting applications to attend, to a maximum of six competitiors in Gr. 7, 8 or 9.
