Presented annually to the top Junior English-speaking team from a rural club at the E.C. Leslie Provincial Debate Tournament. Ms. Beamish coached at Melville Comprehensive School for years. She passed away June 1989.

The Michael Misanchuk Award of Excellence

Presented annually to the top Intermediate English-speaking team from a Saskatoon club at the E.C. Leslie Provincial Debate Tournament. Mr. Misanchuk, the son of long-time debate coach Linda Misanchuk, was a dedicated debate supporter and volunteer. He designed the logo used on this trophy (for his own company) shortly before his death in 1999.

Byron Merkosky Team Award

Presented annually to the top Beginner English-speaking team at the E.C. Leslie Provincial Debate Tournament. Mr. Merkosky has served on the SEDA board for over 23 years, 9 of them as President.
