    In addition to routine matters that we have to make decisions on as an organization, there will be an election for Board members and there is an important motion for the membership to consider regarding Board composition.

    Motion for item E.1.g to read:  "Where possible and practical, six of the eight elected members of the Board of Directors shall be elected from among the member clubs (coach or teacher) of the Association."



    SEDA CONSTITUTION currently reads:


    E.       The Board of Directors


    1)       Composition and Elections


    a.       The Board of Directors shall consist of up to 11 individuals: The Past President o ignored(ex-officio member), and up to ten directors, eight of whom shall be elected with the remaining two individuals being appointed alumni representatives.


    b.       The Board's term of office will be from the Annual General Meeting of a given year to the Annual General Meeting of the following year.


    c.        The President and the Vice-President shall be selected annually by the Board at its first meeting.


    d.       Where possible and practical, the Board shall be regionally representative.


    e.        One-half of the elected members of the Board of Directors shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting for a two-year term.


    f.        Individuals running for elected office of the Association shall be nominated by

    at least one member of the Association.

    g.        Six of the eight elected members of the Board of Directors shall be elected from  among the member clubs (coach or teacher) of the Association.


    h.       The Board of Directors may appoint an individual to any vacant position.


    i.         Individuals are not limited to serving one term on the Board.
